Day Four - Electrics, Roofing, Decking and a Voila! Moment
Well, I say Day Four but actually it's the first day of the second week. After those amazing three days in the first week when a five man team practically magicked a shed structure into my garden, they went away for the weekend.
But now they are back and unstoppable as ever!
Here's what they did:

They bring in the planks of balu decking, named after the bear.

They sling the window unites in through my kitchen window and up they go.

The double doors come in one gigantic piece which they lug painstakingly across two back gardens. They stick 'em up and just like that the shed takes on a more sophisticated air.

And then they stick the windows in.

Meanwhile, we empty the cellar under the stairs so they can run cabling from the shed to the electric box thingy in the main house. Here's the cellar:

And here's the view from inside. I suffer a flicker of embarrassment at the small conurbation of spiders within.

The shed itself has all the wiring in place:

The cabling will travel under the decking.

You can see some cable under the decking frame (the thing sticking out the front will be an outdoor socket for my lawn mower). The cables will be tied together and fixed neatly to the garden wall. Meanwhile, the guys have been preparing the way for the electrician who's coming in two days time. Here are the cables emerging from under the decking.

And down by the weeds and dead toads.

Into the back of the house.

... through to the cellar.
Under the stairs

And out again ...
... to a place in the larder where few men dare to tread (into the main electric box thingy).
And then I have the most delicious Voila! moment when I see the (almost) completed shed with decking, doors and windows:
Voila!

1 breathtakingly witty responses:
Looking very snazzy, as well as very wired. I particularly like the deck. What's the interior design theme going to be? -- Frankie
